Problem:
Trubek Laboratories of Rutherford, NJ, USA found manual loading of bulk lime to be slow and expensive. A simpler, faster method was sought.
Solution:
Vibratory feeding proved to be the answer. An
Eriez Feeder
was installed under the discharge cone of a 32-ton (29 mt) outdoor storage bin. It metered powdered lime to an adjacent mixing tank at rates up to five tons per hour (4.5 mtph).
